Hola, I'm Christina, but to my students I'm just "Señorita". I'm a fifth year high school Spanish teacher just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Through my undergraduate studies I've earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish as well as my K-12 teaching certificate. I'm currently working toward a Masters of Education in Innovative Instruction and have recently earned my Level 2 certificate. I've studied abroad in both the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica and love to travel often. I just recently visited Puerto Rico, Honduras and Mexico. Though still the "baby" of the faculty, I am successfully finding my way, leading my 9th and 10th grade students to proficiency and global awareness, one lesson at a time! The Covid-19 pandemic sure has changed the way the world of education works, but even still, teachers keep on teaching! Within this forum, I invite you into my classroom (both pre and post pandemic). From this platform I will discuss (in one way or another) how to be a leader in this ever changing world of 21st century learning, based on research as well as on my own experiences as an educator. Whether you are halfway to retirement, or fresh out of student-teaching, I hope to help you find positive approaches to student success as well a relatable mindset with fresh perspectives. |
